PolyWatch
scratch remover: Plastic watch crystals scratch very easily with the
result that they soon look unattractive. Replacement of the crystal can be
expensive and an original crystal is often times more desireable to keep on a
vintage watch. Now PolyWatch,a new type of special-purpose polishing
paste, offers an extraordinarily simple solution. Collectors can remove
scratches rapidly and inexpensively from their plastic watch crystal by carrying
out an easy-to-follow "do-it-yourself" procedure.
Apply polyWatch to the watch crystal.
Polish the scratched areas for 2-3 minutes with great pressure at a right angle
to the scratches or in a circular motion, using a piece of cotton wool.
Deep scratches may need to be treated more
than once. Finally, remove any remaining PolyWatch with a soft cloth. The tube
contents is sufficient for approximately 10 uses.
PolyWatch is manufactured in Germany. I've used the acrylic crystal on my Rolex Oyster Perpetual chronometer with excellent results!

Chronometer winding keys:
1)Hamilton Chronometer Winding Key: uni-directional ratcheted. Hamilton chronometer key for model 21 Hamilton chronometer. The key may be used to wind and set any Hamilton model 21 chronometer (winds in a counterclockwise direction and has ratcheted feature that will not allow the chronometer to be wound in wrong direction). It is in excellent condition. Price $65.
2)Hamilton Chronometer Winding Key: bi-directional. Original Hamilton chronometer key as it came from the Hamilton factory. It was manufactured for the Hamilton model 21BC (break circuit) and as such is flat and turns in both directions. The same type of key is pictured on page 487 of Whitney's Military Timepieces book. The key may be used to wind and set any Hamilton chronometer (only wind in a counterclockwise direction and set in the clockwise direction) and will fit in any standard key hole in a chronometer box. It is in like new condition. Price $45.
3) Chronometer winding key manufactured for the Russian Naval chronometer. Solid brass construction. Will work with Russian Naval chronometer, Hamilton model 21 or similar chronometer. Fits in standard chronometer box key hole. Like new condition. Price $35.
"Chronometer
Rate Book". Circa middle 1930s. This was discovered in an old
storehouse recently. New old stock, log book designed to record chronometer rate
fluctuations in ship's navigating chronometer(s). It is a printed book for the
maritime trade by famous Nautical retailer, John E. Hand Co. of Baltimore and
Philadelphia. Marbled cardboard cover with over 50 pages. Title page
has space for ship's and Captain's name as well as the rates of up to three
chronometers. Sorry, chronometer(s) not included. A nice addition
to any chronometer collection -- Quite interesting!

nearly indestructible flashlights made from aircraft grade aluminum bearing a US
