NEW Marathon CSAR: Designed for navigation: First automatic chronograph issued by the U.S. Government : New and complete with box and manufacturer's documentation and 1 year manufacturer's warranty: Huge 46.6mm diameter: Completely SWISS manufactured.  Extremely limited production.  The movement is a specially adjusted version of the famous 7750 ETA Valjoux Automatic (Self Winding) 25 jewel Swiss Made Movement. The movement is non-magnetic. Case construction allows for 300M/1000ft water resistance by using Screw-Down Crown and Screw-Down Side pushers. Revolving external bezel is calibrated from 0 to 60 in white on black background. Case diameter is 44.5mm and high turning bezel is 46.6mm. Case is made of 316L Stainless Steel and has a sapphire crystal. The dial display indicates standard and supplemental time 1 – 12 (13 – 24) and Date and Day.  Chronograph timing is dual graduated, inner graduations are 1/5 sec and as well as decimal 1/100minute timing (alternate inner timing ring). Sweep Second hand indicates timing in 1/5 sec (&/or 1/100 minute) up to 60 sec (1 minute); Chronograph sub registers measure up to 30 minutes and 12 hours each. Register indexes & hands use MARAGLO paint for night viewing. Encapsulated tritium (Isotope H3) light sources are used for dial at each hour position as well as the Minute and Hour hands, activity between 28-30 millicuries (under 30 millicuries).This Chronograph meets the specifications of both NSN 6645-01-544-0408 and NSN 6645-20-002-8253.

Hamilton Military watch. Type MIL-W-46374D.  U.S. Air Force and Army. Circa 1988. High grade watch which was actually the last steel cased, mechanical watch produced for the United States Military.  Hack setting.  New old stock watch that has never been issued or used.  Two piece chromed screw back case with full military nomenclature.  The 17 jewel ETA movement is new old stock.  This type of navigational watch was issued to Air Force Navigators in the late 1980s and early 1990s.   Complete with one piece strap. Early Navigational Watch by Marathon. Type GG-W-113.  U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy. Circa 1985. The Marathon Watch Company of Canada has been making military timepieces for many years and some of their earliest and scarcest were the SPEC GG-W-113's. The satin stainless steel case is 38mm wide including the crown and has the distinctive square lugs and fixed bars. This one is dated March, 1985. The hacking 17-jewel Swiss movement runs well. In excellent condition with a new OD issue strap.  This type of navigational watch was issued to military pilots and navigators in the middle 1980s. A nice looking and hard to find military watch from a famous maker!

U.S. Military Navigator's Watch "SANDY 660 Type6", Military Spec: MIL-W-46374F.  NEW OLD STOCK! 46x45mm (10mm thick).  Originally issued in very limited numbers for the U.S. Armed Forces from 1995-1998.  Because the watch features a solid stainless steel case with screw down crown and back, it was expensive to produce and procure.  Perhaps less than 1000 were actually produced.  Supplied with a new heavy 22mm strap of black pack nylon (pictured) and a new old stock heavy stainless steel matching fliplock bracelet (pictured). The watch is water-resistant, shock-resistant, and is housed in a solid stainless case that has a bushed top finish with polished sides.  Watch has a Helsolite hardened glass crystal.  There are full military markings etched by laser on stainless back.  This watch is NEW OLD STOCK.  This watch was manufactured and assembled in Switzerland. No longer made. Complete with  original Stocker and Yale 22mm heavy black nylon strap and steel solid link bracelet.   Modern military rarity that is a great watch to wear every day!

It is manufactured in accordance with the MIL-PRF-46374G, Type I, Class 1 specification.  The watch features analogue dial with two time scale, water resistant to 3ATM.  Additional features include stop second high torque movement .  This watch comes in a composite fibreshell, waterproof and dustproof case.  The black face features both 12 and 24 hour dials with Tritium tube luminous hands and hour markings, date, white numerals and a sweep second hand; it is signed "SWISS MADE". 

Light sources for dial and hands are provided by self-lighting Tritium H3 tubes. Stocker & Yale U.S. Military Mechanical Watch - New, Type 490 NEW in box!  This general purpose mechanical movement watch is actual military issue from the first gulf war in 1991.  It is 39x39 mm.  The movement is a Swiss made 17 jewel ETA quick beat movement with hacking feature (movement image).  The black case is made of an extremely durable nylon/fiberglass composite material and the crystal is hardened mineral glass with metal surround.   This type of watch was used extensively in the Gulf War and was manufactured under contract until 1999.  The Tritium Tracer (Glass Tubes) system still glows albeit somewhat dinner then a new tritium tube watch.  This unit is new and complete with military issue box.  I use one of these as my everyday watch and find it to be superb.  I had one of these which functioned very well when I went snorkeling and hiking in Hawaii.  Manufactured and assembled in Switzerland.  An outstanding value, an all around good mechanical timepiece, and no longer manufactured!

Stocker & Yale U.S. Military Mechanical Watch - Used, Type 184A.  Similar to above.  Early version of S&Y general purpose mechanical movement watch.  Tritium painted dial and hands (instead of tubes).  39x39 mm.  The movement is a Swiss made jeweled ETA quick beat movement.  OD color.   Actual military issued watch that saw action during Desert Storm.  Nice example.

Stocker & Yale Commemorative U.S. Military Quartz Watch with date- New, Type 590F.  This general purpose quartz movement watch was manufactured for a U.S. Military academy as a commemorative piece to celebrate their distinguished alumnae in the late 1990s.  This was an actual military issue piece including full military markings, S&Y 590 (see above) that was taken from the production line and had a special dial with the stars and stripes added.  39x39 mm.  The Olive Drab (OD) and black cases are made of an extremely durable nylon/fiberglass composite material and the crystal is hardened mineral glass with metal surround.   This type of watch was used extensively in the Gulf War and was manufactured under contract until late 1999.  The Tritium Tracer (Glass Tubes) system glows 20 times brighter than an ordinary luminous watch which allows for excellent readability in low light and total darkness.  This unit is new and complete with original box.  Manufactured and assembled in Switzerland.  An outstanding value, nice commemorative piece!

NEW CONTRACT GSA GENERAL PURPOSE WRISTWATCH with bright maraglo!: Type 3. Used by U.S. Military and law enforcement agencies.  Swiss made quartz movement. Case is nylon/fiberglass composite with nylon band. Face is non-nuclear and impressively bright. Brightness is second only to tritium! Note: Maraglo uses Strontium Aluminate for it's pigment (It needs to Must be exposure to light to charge). Not self luminous but very bright. Vietnam war era military watch. U.S. Army. Circa 1965 (marked). This is a Vietnam-era Benrus Disposable Military Field Watch with manual-wind movement and plastic case. Being a disposable watch, not many of them survived the war. Mil-spec for this watch is MIL-W-46374 making it the first series of field watches. Current field watches, like Stocker & Yale Sandy's, are made under MIL-W-46374F specifications.  The back of the case reads:

Excellent original dial. 34mm case is plastic with full military nomenclature.  The case is very good with slight oxidation from exposure to sun, humidity and oil.  The 7 jewel Benrus movement is near mint and was recently overhauled.  Original winding crown. This type of wristwatch was used primarily in field operations. Supplied with vintage olive nylon one piece strap with black buckle.  Well taken care of.  Because these were basically "non-maintainable", not many have survived.  Purchased from Veteran who did tour of Duty in 1966.  Supplied with new old stock nylon band from same era.   These were referred to as "Mattel" watches in the field because of the case material.

MIL-W-46374A Benrus plastic military watch. U.S. Army. Circa 1975 (marked). New old stock (like new).  This is a Benrus Disposable Military Field Watch with manual-wind movement and plastic case. Being a disposable watch, not many of them survived. Mil-spec for this watch is MIL-W-46374A making it the first series of field watches. Current field watches, like those by Marathon, are made under MIL-W-46374G specifications.  Excellent original dial. 34mm case is plastic with full military nomenclature.  The case is excellent.  The 7 jewel Benrus movement is near mint.  Original winding crown. This type of wristwatch was used primarily in field operations. USN Military Watch Chronograph Type III from 1981 Stocker and  Yale.  Excellent example of rare short lived US Military Watch that replaced the famous Benrus Type I and II.   This the US Navy pilot issued version from 1983.  With a nicely proportioned 35x42mm case, this was the first military watch to incorporate self-luminous tritium vials. Excellent (never issued) condition. A brand new battery has been installed. The watch dates from 1981. This watch is powered by a NEW Eveready 395 watch battery.  The watch has full military marking on the reverse.  This is an interesting looking timepiece with lots of practical features.  In addition to time, there is a chronograph function, second event timer (split chronograph), day, date and alarm.  I've used the same type of watch while traveling and it is very well thought out and useful. It is actual military issue and has met rigorous military specifications. It is not a factory second or government rejected watch.

The case is made of an alloy which has been powder coated with a durable black paint.  The crystal is made of hardened glass.  There is a small nick in the glass where the "Tues" is (see picture....very hard to see...).  The tritium self-illumination system is extremely weak given this watch is now over 20 years old but if you look at the watch at night, it does still self glow.  Because it is so weak though, you will need a light source to read this watch in the dark.  In light, the watch has excellent readability. This is an excellent condition watch (never issued) and comes complete with black nylon flight strap (watch can be worn on the wrist or over one's flight jacket)!  I have one of these in my collection and it is one of my personal favorites.  I cannot emphasize enough how rare this watch is.  Consider adding this to your collection now.  How many of these have you seen?

Ollech & Wajs sub military diving watch: M4: BRAND NEW.  Large 42x47mm size.  Ollech & Wajs (O&W) began providing rugged watches for US servicemen during the Viet Nam war.  Many pilots opted for their watches over Rolex and Seikos that were available in Hong Kong at the time for less then in the US.  Why?....value.  If you ever wanted a Rolex Submariner but $4k+ was out of your price range, here is the best solution in terms of looks, performance and quality for the money.  Solid stainless steel throughout made by Ollech and Wajs (O&W) of Switzerland.  O&W was a famous supplier of diving and as well as flight watches to the United States military personnel during the Viet Nam conflict.  This model is rated for diving to 200m.  One can use it for water sports or for daily use in the office or on the golf course.  This watch runs on the tough specially adjusted ETA 2824-2 movement with hack set, calendar date, and quickset. It is automatic and never needs winding. It has a uni-ratcheting very good looking snug bezel to time your decompression time or life's daily battles. The steel screw back case has all pertinent information on it. The crown screws down.  The steel  bracelet is a stainless steel solid link bracelet with flip lock clasp that will fit a size 8 wrist with and adjustable clasp to accommodate a wet suit. Looks great with an optional current US military issue black nylon band. The fit and finish on this watch is superb! I have a friend who is a partner in a major law firm in Chicago.  He owns a Rolex Oyster Perpetual date and yet is always seen wearing his O&W at work and while roller blading along the lake front.  A well made diving watch by a famous Swiss firm.

Ollech & Wajs Cougar Automatic diving watch: BRAND NEW.  The cougar is a handsome and durable divers watch.  It is finished to the highest standards in sand blasted stainless steel.  Swiss made ETA 2824-2 Automatic movement  The rotating bezel is unidirectional, ratchet operated and very sturdy.  The number markings on the bezel are polished stainless steel to distinguish them from the brushed background.  It has a military style dial with very bright luminous markings and hands and a 24 hour inner dial.  Date window at 3, sturdy crown protection, water resistant to 200 meters and a screw down crown fro added water protection.  It has a strong sapphire crystal that is scratch proof.  Like all of Mr.Wajs creations, this watch is durable, strong, built to last for ever and as always, provides exceptional value for money.  The dimensions are as follows: Width is 39 mm excluding crown and 43 mm including crown, Crystal diameter is 29 mm, Lug to lug is 45 mm, Thickness is 11 mm. Maratac Analog Quartz Compass (AQC) watch. These unique watches feature a built in high grade electronic compasses and were specially made by Timex for Maratac™ for a government contract. Who were they made for?  Let's just say that when Osama bin Laden is captured, some of the folks making it happen may well be wearing these watches.  These were designed to use Maratac 1 pc. watch bands so the watch can be removed from the band and the compass laid directly on top of a map. The face is sterile and does not any unnecessary printing.  This was done to eliminate confusion and allow clear night time illumination via Timex's Indiglo system.  This watch uses solid fixed bars to secure the strap from all of natures hazards. Large "ETA 2824" Military Diver 200 Automatic.   Manufactured by IW.  Extra high grade 25 jewel ETA movement with fantastic new style heavy (weighs 5.5 ounces) diver case. It is stainless steel and has some screws set in the lugs, on top. A really nice looking divers bezel rotates counter clockwise only for timing. The black dial is shiny, has some waves in the center part and is more detailed than we usually see from IW. The indices have gold borders, like a Submariner. Large "ETA 2824" "Mars Mission" Automatic: Titanium case.   This unusual timepiece has a Swiss made ETA 2824 25 jewel automatic movement and a phenomenal Titanium case.  The movement is a grade-A version which has been gold flashed.  These are covered by a 1-yr. warranty.  The case features a display back and non-reflective black dial. Hamilton "Brock" , 19 jewel 982 "Masterpiece" movement. Solid 14k yellow gold case. This watch appears to be excellent throughout.  Excellent original dial with sub seconds and solid gold applied numerals and dagger hands. A Hamilton factory inscription on the back of the watch indicates that this was a Sales Award in Fall 1948 for Philco.   Philco was the leading manufacturer of Radios at that time.  21x38mm. Runs well and the watch will be supplied.   Classic look from the 1940s!

BUND Military Chronograph by Tengler: Designed for Astronavigation, Specially adjusted movement, Steel case-- New old stock complete with original star finder wheel, leather case and accessories!  Similar to other Bund watches supplied to NATO during the latter part of the Cold War in Germany by Tutima, Hanhart, Heuer, IWC, Sinn, Arktos, and  Porsche Design, the Tengler is the rarest and perhaps most interesting.  This watch is the Tengler and was manufactured in 1989-90 by Helmut Tengler to the specifications of the German military. This is a genuine German military issue watch that was purchased by the German government.  500 pieces were contracted for and manufactured by Mr. Tengler.  There were perhaps an additional 20 with no serial numbers on the back that were designated as spares and this is one of those.  Unlike other BUND watches, the Tengler was never made for the civilian market. It has the correct German military issue marks on the case back with the word “Bund” stamped in the correct font. The strap is also the original genuine German military issue Bund strap and has got Bund issue number s stamped on it.  The Tengler is a bit different to the other issue watches as it was intended to be used for astronavigation.  Most importantly perhaps, the Lemania 5100 movement was not a stock movement.  The movement was specially adjusted to closer tolerances in light of the precise measurements the watch was intended to be used for.  The watch comes with the original star finder. This was issued to military units that were required to be able to tell true North without satellites or other external navigation aids.  The watch itself is a fantastic looking timepiece, with a functional, practical and military feel to it. It is in mint condition and the dial and hands are also mint. The Lemania 5100 automatic movement was used due to it’s durability. The watch features a solid stainless steel case, screw down crown, 24 hour indicator, 60 minute elapsed timer, 60 second elapsed timer, 12 hour elapsed timer and subsidiary seconds. The day and date is also provided. All functions work correctly and the watch keeps excellent time. Rare and outstanding piece of military memorabilia. Also comes with print out from extract written by Konrad Knirim the author of the book on military wristwatches entitled,  Military Timepiece 150 Years Watches and Clocks of German Forces.  Width is 41 mm excluding crown, 43 mm including crown. The thickness is 14 mm and the lug to lug distance is 44 mm.  The only current production watch I can think of that is comparable to this watch is a Tutima Military chronograph.  The Tutima starts at $3000 for the civilian version.  This actual military issue watch is a specially produced like new timepiece and supplied with an original star finder as well as hard leather case marked W. Germany.  A superb and rare BUND watch complete with issue case and accessories -- Great addition to a mil-watch collection!

Wenger Swiss Army Chronograph: NEW.  This is a new three register Swiss designed and manufactured chronograph, 18k PVD gold plated (which lasts 3 times as long as most gold plating) and steel heavy link bracelet  with flip-lock and hidden wet suit extension.  Silvered dial with sub dials that indicate minutes, hours, seconds, 1/10 seconds.  Unit features date and tachemeter.  Quality 27 jewel ETA quartz movement: this is widely recognized as the most accurate, commercially-available Swiss Movement currently in production.  Water resistant to 100 meters.  Steel case features screw back, is18k PVD gold plated and has screw down crown with crown guard.  Sapphire crystal provide 3 times as much scratch-resistance as mineral crystal. manufacturer's warranty.  Nice large size: 39X44mm and 12.4 mm thick.  Hardened mineral glass crystal.  This unit retails for over $495 when you can find it.
